WHAT'S IN THE NEWS
CHOOSING THE BEST FLATBED TRAILER
A Deckover trailer has a flatbed above the wheels, offering wide, unobstructed cargo space for bulky items but a higher profile. A Tilt trailer (often a lowboy or deckover tilt) has a bed that tilts for easy loading, eliminating ramps, ideal for heavy equipment like skid steers, with either manual/hydraulic tilting or a simple gravity tilt.
Understanding GVWR
Towing capacity is the maximum amount of weight your vehicle can tow when pulling a trailer. It is determined by the vehicle manufacturer and takes into account the GVWR, GAWR, GTW and more.
What does towing capacity mean? Very simply, it is how heavy your trailer can be.
PRE-TOW CHECK LIST
Pre-Tow Checklist (Every Time

- Hitch & Chains: Ensure coupler fits the ball, latch is secure, and safety chains are crossed underneath.
- Brakes: Test function if equipped.
- Cargo: Secure load evenly (60/40 rule: 60% front of axle, 40% behind) and don't exceed capacity.
